What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Work with Vince on establishing an initial build of the rules and cards
2. Do a sample run to figure out game flow based upon these rules
3. Edit cards / rules as needed to provide optimal experience
A design decision that we need to talk about is game time. As an internet game,
will this be one that players sit down and play to completion, or, like the
"Words With Friends" concept it is based on, a longer term game where a single
game can last as long as we want. This choice will effect the scoring system.
ie: A longer term game will allow for a light scoring system where points are
awarded for large accomplishments in larger amounts whereas a short "blitz"
style game should have frequent point distribution in smaller amounts.
Whatever rules we come up with as a final rule set needs to reflect this.
