All GNU licenses cover that future proofing already. It is also specifically mentioned in the notice they recommend you stick at the top of every source file, e.g.:
# Decisive Robot is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify
# it under the terms of the GNU Affero General Public License as published by
# the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or
# (at your option) any later version.
Okay cool, thanks for the info Daniel (I'm always keen to learn more about licensing, particularly the GPL family).
Talk about licenses and get agreement on suitable license for code. Daniel mentioned the AGPL license during govhack, and I tend to agree. However, the ramifications of that should probably be discussed with everybody first, especially Fred, so they all know what it means.
Also, are you able to do an AGPLv3+, which makes keeping track of newer GNU licenses in the future easier? i.e. don't need to chase everybody down for agreement down the track if a better alternative comes out as AGPLv4?
