We could simplify the CSS:

Drop bootstrap and use some lightweight specific own rules (or pick at least only used bootstrap styles)
Combine similar selectors
Use CSS-Variables to set the colors for the light an dark theme

I'm also open if one would investigate in a simpler HTML-structure.

So if there are someone with good CSS knowledge and some time left ... PR's welcome :wink:

Would you consider using a Vue framework such as Quasar (https://quasar.dev/) - it has its own components and allows direct builds to PWA etc.
