I do not understand. Please re-phase the problem description.
@tehnick: Look the screenshot, the dialog window title and the second title, it is too big. Psi or Psi+ only are better.
Microsoft uses only description value of application? No other possibility?
You yourself asked to add client information to the manifest. And participated in the discussion of the text. I can remove it all, it’s not difficult. As you can see this string is file description https://github.com/psi-im/psi/blob/d2199bcd5fa653e1240b30cc1131566790ab1b18/src/CMakeLists.txt#L304 And in rc file https://github.com/psi-im/psi/blob/d2199bcd5fa653e1240b30cc1131566790ab1b18/win32/psi_win.rc.in#L26 According to this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/menurc/versioninfo-resource I don't know why MS Win shows this information in the dialog title. I don't even think that this is psi problem
Maybe we can change it to something simpler? So it'd look better in the crash dialog and task monitor.
maybe something like "Psi - An XMPP Client"
Software name is really simple like other products...
Already informed in mucroom a long time ago.
At begining, the description was updated at my request.
But it is not good, example in this case:
"Psi : A cross-platform XMPP client aimed at experienced users." "Psi+ : A cross-platform XMPP client aimed at experienced users."
Badly, Windows uses the description and not the name in the app crash dialog...
In first the "." is in more. In second, it must be only "Psi" or "Psi+".
We must to change it.
