Which clients already have it implemented:

• Pidgin
• Trillian
• many more ...

May be this can be done by creating a emoji iconset which supports the standard emoji icons?

Download and unzip the attached file and put it in the "Psi+\iconsets\emoticons" folder

Activate the iconset in "Options/Appearance/Icons/Emoticons/Emojis".
