Disabling window's borders #145

Hello everybody!

Could you please explain why did you drop very useful feature as "Disable borders for maximized borders".

I have KDE Neon with KDE Plasma 5.23.1 on my laptop. I've added deleted code from ver. 0.9.0 to new ver. 0.10.0 and compile the applet. It works without any issues.

I use this applet because of it can disable app's borders. In my opinion without current feature applet has no meaning.

Thanks!

That option was provided only when the applet was inside a plasma panel and you were not using Latte Dock at all. The option was dropped because it was creating conflicts with other such options that were provided from Latte, AWC or KWin internal configuration etc....

My opinion is that if you need that option when using plasma panels then you need that option for ALL your activities and always. As such is the case the best way to activate it is through KWin : https://askubuntu.com/questions/253337/remove-title-bar-and-borders-on-maximized-windows-in-kubuntu

Thank you @psifidotos for explaining the underlying reason. Here is a supplement for Latte Dock users: Latte Dock may overwrite the "BorderlessMaximizedWindows" option in ~/.config/kwinrc every time re-login. So if you found the most voted answer on the above askubuntu forum takes no effects after re-login or reboot, see this post: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=160130 and here comes the simple solution: https://github.com/psifidotos/Latte-Dock/wiki/Tips-&-Tricks#q-can-i-have-different-borderlessmaximized-windows-option-between-different-layouts
