@maddogspeighty This is normal behaviour. You can disable all the button assignments in the settings of Big Picture Mode. If the PS button isn't functioning correctly you also have to disable it's assignment in the Xbox Game Bar. I'll add the instruction to the wiki.
Ok, thanks I will look into disabling the buttons.
Is this what you were referring to,
https://www.howtogeek.com/234427/how-to-remap-buttons-on-your-steam-controller/
Is that where you can remove the button assignments.
Yes it is.
[EDIT] Just so you know, it's the Base Configuration -> Big Picture configuration -> DEFAULT that you want to remove the assignments from.
I'll just link that to wiki then since it's all there. I was almost finished editing my screenshots for the guide too :( .
Sorry mate, I was just having a google and came across it.
No worries. Here's the setting for the XBox Game Bar in case it's causing you any trouble.
Brilliant, this should hopefully solve the problem.
Hi,
Thanks for the great work with this.
I have just setup my ps navi to work alongside my move controller, the setup seems to have gone fine.
The navi controllers are paired to my move controllers, now when I load psmove service and then steamvr the steam vr overlay menu still acts like there is a xbox controller connected.
For example if i press the trigger i can see the xbox 360 a, x buttons etc flashing up at the bottom and it doesn't perform the trigger action.
Now I did test this in one game and that seemed to be ok as the motion controlled games dont have 360 support.
Is this normal behaviour or is there something I have done wrong.
