Custom templates for library reports #1175

I think it would be useful to have a customizable report format. The current "Export
library to an HTML list" option gives you a single format that works for you; however,
I would like to see a way that advanced users can make their own report templates,
which could then be shared among MCM users.

For example, we could make an XML file that can be later further processed, or an HTML
file with different formatting or column selection. Additionally, the option to select
between TV episodes and movies would be nice. Also, maybe a way to select which videos
to show (not sure how difficult that last one would be)

At the moment you have a compressed HTML export, can you add a FULL HTML Export for
those who want it? I assume this would be a quick and easy edit until you get this
job done.

Or even for now just separate the links into 2 columns so we can export to excel., It
is very frustrating to have paid for software to make life easier that it turns out
could but doesn't quite. Surely you can do something easily to improve things for us
in this regard. Export of full library details into excel would be ideal, the ability
to choose and sort fields prior to generating a HTML list would be great...just making
the current HTML list have separate columns for the hyperlinks will enable us to manually
export and then sort via excel (still a PITA but waaaaaaaaaay better than the near
useless list we get now). Please! surely the last option is a very quick and easy change!

forgot to mention...there are very many requests for this in one form or another and
they date back several years. YEARS!
