Automatically use folder.jpg for backdrop.jpg if no other backdrops are found #865

Originally reported on Google Code with ID 866

Describe the new feature or change:
I have found that the piece of metadata that is most frequently missing is the backdrop.jpg.
When no backdrops are found, MCM leaves that annoying yellow line on my otherwise
nice list. I then go to each of the yellow line folders, copy folder.jpg, paste a
copy into the same folder, then rename the copy to backdrop.jpg. I then have to refresh
the files list and fetch metadate again for the yellow line items. When the refetch
is complete, they have all turned white, and my list is neat again. Since MCM is all
about automation, couldn't this be done by the program itself. As soon as the "No
backdrops found" message appears, it would be nice to see "Copying and using folder.jpg
as first backdrop.jpg", or something similar. I'm sure that this would make a whole
lot of folks happy.

What movies are you fetching that don't have fanart/backdrops? Are they foreign or
animé titles (or adult)? If they're adult, there's already a request similar to this
(creating backdrops from front/back covers). If they're standard theatrical movie
releases, there is almost always fanart available and it's possible you have an outdated
installation.

My version is up to date. No, the movies are normal US release. I know that there
should be fanart, and I am not disturbed by none being found. The purpose of my request
is strictly as stated. If no backdrop.jpg's are downloaded, copy the folder.jpg to
backdrop.jpg. It would make the process so much cleaner. Thanks

Re-reading my prior posts, I don't think I was completely clear. My feature request
is about adding additional automation to MCM. It is not about backdrops not being
found. I am suggesting that IF AND WHEN no backdrops are located, automatically make
a copy of the folder picture and use that again as a backdrop picture. This would
result in there being one folder.jpg and one backdrop.jpg, and they would be the exact
same picture. Oh, I failed to say that I don't DL adult movies.

There are lots of moving parts in Media Center Master, so it's important that I'm thorough
when investigating requests and issue reports.

Your request can be fulfilled now with a premium feature: post-processing. Create
a batch file that uses COPY /-Y from folder.jpg to backdrop.jpg (the /-Y will prevent
it from overwriting if it already exists). Post-processing occurs after the fetch
completes.

I will keep this feature request open for some time and see if any other users star
it, but I can't imagine it is a much-needed or popular request, so it may be a while
before it receives direct attention.

Would video thumbnail extraction work in lieu of a duplicate of folder.jpg?

Anything that will avoid the "missing info" status, would be a great
improvement. The duplication was only suggested as a possible solution, and
definitely is not the best answer. Thanks for looking at this, your efforts
are greatly appreciated.
