Honor Thesis Session I – Research Questions & Hypothesis & Data Collection Learning Objects: • Able to transfer general interests to approachable research questions • Identify hypothesis for research questions and understand how to set up the hypothesis tests for later analysis • Able to find reference to design their experiments if needed • Familiar with data resource and learn the common pitfalls during data collection process • Learn resources on campus if assistance is needed This session aims to help the students who are drafting their honor to identify approachable research questions and get familiar with experiment design and data collection/discovery process. A general concept of hypothesis testing will be mentioned as well to prepare the students for later analysis. Some online and campus consulting resource will be provided as well. Time: Fall (Late September/ Early October) Location: TBD Target Audience: (primary) Undergraduate Honor Students
