Pearl Daugherty's current research projects are getting increasing large and complicated. Although here the overall volume of her data is modest when compared to some (~0.5-1.0 TB) her data is comprised of thousands of smallish files of varying types. She currently shares her data with colleagues using Drop Box, which works OK, but has already caused a few problems. There have been a few instances of data loss from people overwriting other peoples edits. Also, the analysis scripts keep breaking because as people change files, filenames or file structures. Also, while they keep notes, they are getting scattered throughout the project space, sometimes redundant or even contradictory information is written.
