Am I on the right track -- my thesis advisor just left for another institution? #81

Biology masters student has completed field data collection and is now struggling to analyze it in the absence of his advisor who has left for another (more prestigious), institution. The data are from a satellite that has some quirks and nuances.

There are a dizzying number of R-packages that proclaim to do the analysis for you and they all seem to produce different results for reasons that are unclear to the student?

His defense in scheduled for 2mos time and he needs some major help, direction and confidence that he's on the right track now.

Problem: assistance in data analysis. Is not able to use R properly to complete the analysis
