A graduate student in Art History is researching historical school types in cities from primary sources with interest in connecting locations with other geographic characteristics. User is interested in learning about how GIS can help examine relationships of these historical data and other geographic data located from texts.

User is new to working with GIS in this context, but interested in learning about how to apply geospatial concepts to research.
