In an email on 1/13/21, the following discussion about this took place:
@cmd31: once the request if approved by supervisor and AD, it is sent to the business office for processing - i guess that we could send the requester only an email indicating that the business office has received the request and will be in touch with any questions.
@wellenberger: It was brought up and the question is in issue #10 (Business Office Request Review Emai). I don’t think it was ever answered.
@cmd31: my bad... i am not sure that we really need to send an email confirming that we received the request
Then later on in the same email:
@cmd31: once supervisor approvers or rejects - requester receives an email indicating approval or rejection for what reason.
@wellenberger: Requestor does not get an email upon supervisor approval, only on change requests and rejections. @cmd31: current process is that rachel emails everyone who submitted a travel request and lets them know that it was either approved or needs more detail- can we send approval/change request/rejection emails?- or maybe so we aren't inundating everyone with emails, maybe the requestor only gets the approval email after the form reaches the business office - at this point they would have already received a request for change or rejection email, but sending the approval is a way to confirm to them that they are good to proceed with making travel plans....i think i am in favor of this option now. thoughts?
@wellenberger: I like the idea of sending a confirmation email to the requestor when the business office gets the request.
Courtney Dillon will review the travel request, add any notes (?), then click the "Reviewed" button which then moves the process to the next step.
