When I try to use this in Overleaf it gives me the following message:
Import complete! But we couldn't upload some of your files:
expt/experimental.aux does not have one of the allowed file extensions.
intro/introduction.aux does not have one of the allowed file extensions.
lit/literature.aux does not have one of the allowed file extensions.
rnd/results.aux does not have one of the allowed file extensions.
Nevertheless, it still compiles.
Is it ok to proceed ahead even though some of the files failed to upload?
THere seem to be some red boxes enclosing the words in the index page.
If one is interested one may view it here

You can ignore such warnings or just delete all 'aux' files and then upload your zip file. In this case, there will not be any warning. Overleaf doesn't load 'aux' files.
