"Force Close" when searching for files on sdcard if we cannot listFiles in a folder. #21

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have one or more folders in the search path where the application does not
have permission to list files. The default search includes all the files on the
sdcard (in /sdcard/ on the filesystem).
2. Select the 'Search for Books' button.

What is the expected output?
A list of valid folders containing DAISY 2.02 books should be presented to the
user
What do you see instead?
A 'Force Close' message, the application terminates.

The problem was discovered on a HTC Hero with Android 2.2 installed (however
the version of Android is not relevant, nor is the model of phone AFAIK).

Here are more details, including an example of a folder that causes the issue:
Search for books caused the application to 'force close' Unable to start
activity ComponentInfo{com.ader/com.ader.DaisyBookFinder}:
java.lang.NullPointerException caused by the path /sdcard/.android_secure
