loading airwave VSTi blocks subsequent loading of native VST in Renoise #15

This seems very specific to certain plugins, so I am not 100% certain it is an airwave issue but:

Using renoise (without setting plugins to run in sandbox mode)

  1. Create a song using the new native VSTi from U-He - i.e. a couple of tracks using Hive.
  2. Save song.
  3. Load up an instance of Lokomotiv (or possibly other plugins) under airwave
  4. Try to load the original song - Renoise will not be able to find the u-he plugins and gives error: VstPlugs: Instantiate FAILED (caught structured exception) !!! Renoise LOG> Audio Plugins: Failed to open plug VST: Hive.64

Now, none of the native u-he plugins will load.

Note: sandbox mode works around this.

That's interesting, I've been having problems with zebra loading in renoise, for some reason the 32 bit version works but not the 64 bit. I didn't think about airwave having anything to do with it but that could be the case. Did you gain any more insight in to the issue?

Is this problem still relevant for you?

I am experiencing this problem. There seems to be a problem specifically with the u-he plugins. If I load my linux native vst in renoise everything is ok, the scan works and the u-he plugins are there. If I then put my airwave vsts in there and scan filterscape causes a crash during the scan, and then zebra and zebralette disappear from the plugins list.

I've managed to finally narrow this down a little, it seems to only happen if Waves plugins are included in my ~/.vst. If I remove them then the u-he plugins all come back.
