In #66 @jsheunis used https://linkml.io/linkml-model/latest/docs/typeof/ to declare a derived type.
So far all type definitions have used base to declare a foundational type.
base
ATM it is unclear to me which approach is superior or how one should decide which one to use.
If they are equivalent, I'd prefer to declare one as the standard.
I found no difference between the two in the past weeks. A non-issue in the big picture of things.
