There is not enough time for an overhaul, but I would like to take a whack at the following:

remove bootstrap. It's heavy, outdated, and am not a fan of the look. IIRC, I have a branch that is halfway done with this.

All bootstrap has been ripped out and replaced with our own CSS.

While the visuals havn't been reworked, there have been a few improvements here and there.
