Limechat responds with "Cannot send to nick/channel"

I am trying to use limechat, I added a server and a channel and can see conversations going on, but when I try to send a message I get the error

Error(404): #ffmpeg Cannot send to nick/channel

IRC: irc://irc.freenode.net/ffmpeg

Downloaded and installed from Mac App Store
