marking feed as read doesn't jump to next feed anymore, instead deselects feeds completely #730

I just updated from 17.0 to 17.3 (Debian). When I marked a feed as read
automatically the news of the next feed in the list were shown. Now with 17.3
when I mark a feed as read the list with the feed entries changes to all white
and no feed is selected. That is very very irritating and apart from that
always requires one extra click to activate the next feed. Can you please add
an option to show the next feed's entries after having marked a feed as read?
Or at least stay in the feed marked as read to get rid of that "falling into
free space" feeling?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
17.3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. choose one feed in you list
2. mark it as read
3. get blank white nothing

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected: see feed entries - either the next feed of the current (better the
next) - one feed should always be displayed
instead: blank white nothing, no feet selected
