improve appearance of active star on selected rows

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

0.17.6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select a news-item with your mouse
2. Star the news-item by clicking the star

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The active star on a selected news-item is very hard to recognize. It's barely 
yellow and to my eyes it looks almost the same. I often star and un-star the 
news again, because it looks so similar on my screen.

IMO the star icon on selected rows could be a lot brighter.
