Target directory path #4

The instructions are not clear to what you mean by "Target directory path"

Target directory path This is the path where the symlink will be created. The target directory should not exist and will be newly created.

When I try to create a link to folder (win11), I get an error message. I'd appreciate some celerity.

There is no demo; would you please add one?

I am currently occupied, so a demo will be not available for quite some time.

Anyhow, as stated in the description and out of caution:

Please note that this Plugin is in early development and may not work as expected. Furthermore, creating symlinks and junctions can be dangerous and may lead to data loss. Please use this Plugin with caution.

Creating a symlink across folders on the same drive is pretty straightforward: You select a folder where data is that you want in your obsidian (source) and a folder name where the data should be stored in your vault (target). As long as source exists, target is a valid folder name and within the same drive it should work. Across volumes it is more difficult as you would need to create non-junction symlinks on windows which require admin privileges or dev-mode. I wouldn't recommend using Obsidian in either one of them.
