The genus Drynaria (Bory) J.Sm. has been conserved against Aglaomorpha Schott. The latter was used by PPG I; the PPG II classification should be updated to reflect this nomenclatural act.
Reason for change
According to the NMNH Code Appendices website the conservation of Drynaria against Aglaomorpha was proposed in April 2012 (proposal 2054), neither recommended nor rejected by the Vascular Plant Committee in 2014, accepted by the General Committee in 2016, included in IBC proceedings in 2017, and included in the Shenzhen Code in 2018.
This proposal was voted on during PPG Ballot 6 (voting period December 2023). A total of 60 votes were cast. There were 56 'Yes' votes (93.3%) and 4 'No' votes (6.7%). The proposal passes.
