WHAT

Replace function array dereferencing in Pterotype with PHP 5.x-friendly syntax.

WHY

The function array dereferencing syntax is not supported in PHP 5.x
Although PHP 5.x is near EOL, it will be some time before all WP installs are migrated, especially in the case of shared hosting.

HOW

replace dereferencing with two-step dereferencing.

TESTING

Manually tested the following endpoints with WP 4.9.8 and PHP 5.6
