Frequently my computer, conected to a router that was configured to enable DoS
protection, it is blocked after a variable amount of time, by the DoS
protection service from the router when the tv-maxe app. receive a stream.

Note: I don't want to disable DoS protection.

If it is possible please elaborate an argumented solution for an optimum
configuration regarding to various conditions that can be expected for a
certain network-hardware-so combination.

For example my configuration is:

Location: Romania
ISP: RDS 30Mb/s fiberlink
Router: TL-WR740N
SO:
  -ubuntu 11.04(natty)
  -kernel 2.6.38-15-generic
  -GNOME 2.32.1
  -mem 3.2GB
Network: 10-100Mb/s
Computer: Intel dual core, 2xE4700 @2.60Ghz

ROUTER Dos protection settings (working confi. before TV-Maxe install)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Packets Statistics Interval (5 ~ 60): 10 Seconds

ICMP-FLOOD Attack Filtering -> enabled
ICMP-FLOOD Packets Threshold (5 ~ 3600): 50 Packets/s

UDP-FLOOD Filtering -> enabled
UDP-FLOOD Packets Threshold (5 ~ 3600): 500 Packets/s

TCP-SYN-FLOOD Attack Filtering -> enabled
TCP-SYN-FLOOD Packets Threshold (5 ~ 3600): 50 Packets/s

Thank you,
Florin J.

P.S.
I have tried various progressive settings for DoS protection setting.
Last failed configuration was:

ROUTER Dos protection settings
------------------------------
Packets Statistics Interval (5 ~ 60): 40 Seconds

ICMP-FLOOD Attack Filtering -> enabled
ICMP-FLOOD Packets Threshold (5 ~ 3600): 250 Packets/s

UDP-FLOOD Filtering -> enabled
UDP-FLOOD Packets Threshold (5 ~ 3600): 800 Packets/s

TCP-SYN-FLOOD Attack Filtering -> enabled
TCP-SYN-FLOOD Packets Threshold (5 ~ 3600): 250 Packets/s

TV-Maxe it's using sopcast to view channels. Sopcast itself it's using p2p to
give and take content. So it generates a lot of unpredictable connections and
traffic. We have no answer for this.
