Hi I am interested in the problem calculated by your code, but I am an undergraduate student and I am just starting to learn about it, is there any material I can refer to for study?

Best regards

Hello,

You may want to check these resources:

Thedens, P., Schmehl, R.: An Aero-Structural Model for Ram-Air Kite Simulations. Energies 16 (6), 2023. https://doi.org/10.3390/en16062603

Thedens, P.: An integrated aero-structural model for ram-air kite simulations: with application to airborne wind energy. PhD dissertation, Delft University of Technology, 2022. https://doi.org/10.4233/uuid:16e90401-62fc-4bc3-bf04-7a8c7bb0e2ee

Thedens, P., De Oliveira Andrade, G.L., Schmehl, R.: Ram-air kite airfoil and reinforcements optimization for airborne wind energy applications. Wind Energy 22 (5), 653-665, 2019. https://doi.org/10.1002/we.2313

Adam, N.J.: Computational simulation of fluid-structure interaction of soft kites. MSc Thesis, University of Stuttgart, 2018. http://dx.doi.org/10.18419/opus-10628

The MSc thesis compares mem4py to MBDyn and looks at rather simple test cases. It is probably a good tutorial. The later scientific literature is more about the use of the code for specific applications in airborne wind energy.

Best regards

@pthedens would it be an idea to paste this literature (and other useful references) at the bottom of the README file?

@rschmehl Thank you very much
