Garry's Mod (Proton x86)

Description

Device freezes a few seconds after entering map by running "map gm_flatgrass". Able to move around before freeze. After a few minutes, may unfreeze for a couple of more seconds or crash.

UPDATE: enabling swap allows game to run but with stuttering (which should be expected with box86 i guess)

Tested on

Oneplus 6 running Arch Linux (installed via kupfer) running Steam in debian chroot, running gmod via proton.

Previous behavior:

Current behavior:

Freezes for long periods in-game

screenshot is not not really feasible since entire system freezes (not even ssh is possible)

OpenGL

system reports "4.5 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 23.1.3" but I don't know how to find what version is actually used.

Additional Information

I tried lowering settings way down as you see in the image but it didnt really help usually freezes at main menu when internet is enabled Phone gets very hot during freezes
