Tomb Raider (2013) #94

Description

The Windows version of Tomb Raider launches in D3D9 mode (disable d3d11 in wine). The native version does not launch (clicking 'play' in steam doesn't do anything, and for all I know it might need a higher OpenGL profile, also the port sucks so performance likely wouldn't be much better than Wined3d anyways). This is obviously a very heavy game so I didn't expect it to be playable at all on such an underpowered device, but the point is, it actually launches just fine, and that's really cool. It runs at single digit frame rates (below 5FPS), but you can almost sort of play it this way: I did manage to make my way outside the cave in slow motion. Sure, it took like 45 minutes instead of like 10 or so but still... Too bad it's 32 Bit, otherwise it might work well on the Jetson Nano with box64 in the future...

Tested on

Pine64 RockPro64 4GB (RK3399 with Panfrost) TwisterOS

Status

Previous behavior:

None reported (nobody else would be this crazy lol)

Current behavior:

Works but obviously needs a MUCH beefier GPU to be playable. Graphical glitches with WineD3D + Panfrost (some objects appear black some of the time).
