https://github.com/asciinema/asciinema-player/commit/6cc51f35db30c0ae305c53d3821d537c247dc521 added support for native asciinema v1 json. The currently deployed version of the player is the old one that needed mangled json.
pb should be updated so the new(est) version of the player is always used and then this should be documented because sane people can actually use the terminal renderer feature now.
