Add .Rproj file to repository?

I was wondering if it's good practice to add to this repository the .Rproj file created when I set up a new R project.

Yea I like to do it initially, however that initial commit I will add it to the .gitignore file or make sure my set my project options are set up so that they are not saving each R session history, otherwise every time you open the R project git is going to track all that bleh
