Not sure what to do... please advise!

I've installed Virtualbox 4.3, git 1.9.4 and vagrant 1.6.5

@afscott - Some thoughts:

• You may be able to bring up the Virtualbox GUI and get some more details as indicated in the message. In the past, this has shed some light on problems that's been helpful.
• Is it possible that you are running a machine that doesn't have virtualization enabled by default? I know that on a number of laptops, you have to boot into your BIOS and ensure that a virtualization setting is enabled or else Virtualbox won't work at all. (The Virtualbox GUI might call this something like VTX.)

The web is littered with various forums reporting this error, so it's a little bit difficult to figure out what's going and help you with the info you have provided, but I think those two suggestions might point you in the right direction.
