trouble setting up virtual machine on windows #242

After I navigated to the top level file containing Vagrantfile, I ran the command "vagrant up". when i run this, a window pops up saying "choose the program you want to use to open this file".

I don't think this should happen. I followed steps 1-3 correctly. any help would be much appreciated, thank you! capture

Does vagrant --version return Vagrant version? If not it is probably not installed or at least not its shell extensions.
