B/W image map projects showing unwanted black and white polygons through export #1

(no github tag for "exports") white triangle appearing in these map project in the JPG/TIFF, while showing up as black triangles in the tiles. All 3 project are large in geographic extent/size

all 3 are also historic aerial images (possible EXIF tag issue?)

Actually one thing here is that they're all black and white JPGs. I wonder if that's a distinct file format? Could you rename the issue accordingly?
