Planning issue: Mapknitter Image Management #608

I would like to complete the following task in Mapknitter image management as part of my GSoC

The details of which I had already mentioned in my GSoC proposal.

Here, I have mentioned the task that I need to complete and will create a detailed issue for each of the task as I proceed with. Please have a look at them @SidharthBansal @jywarren @gauravano Thanks!

Hi @divyabaid16, I have created the project - https://github.com/publiclab/mapknitter/projects/3. As @ViditChitkara will be implementing the Synchronous editing part, so I have extended the goals. Also, not to worry, I will be working with you. Please see the goal list in the description of the project. Thanks!

Also @divyabaid16, as both @ViditChitkara and you have shown interest in Synchronous editing, so you both can collaborate on that, maybe @ViditChitkara can take the majority implementation of Synchronous as their GSoC proposal includes only that. So, let us know, how both of you want to work? Thanks!

On these two:

There's been much work on this by @sashadev-sky in https://github.com/publiclab/Leaflet.DistortableImage/, most recently in https://github.com/publiclab/Leaflet.DistortableImage/pull/254/

So, it'll be good to introduce yourselves (if you havent already 😄) and get familiar with some of the work there! There is a new toolbar tool for re-ordering, and the same functionality could be replicated in the sidebar images listing. And, we'll be thinking through the UI for how to initiate an export on multiple images quite soon - Sasha i'm sure already has something in mind there. As @divyabaid16 has written this into their project proposal, let's get synced on this, and also think about how the summer's work can build on the amazing foundation work Sasha has done!

@divyabaid16 are familiar with each other already! 😊😊 If you want to setup a time to go through everything over a phone call I would be glad to help out with that! For image ordering, I need to look into this to confirm but I believe I read somewhere that the featureGroup controls the order of the images ... so this will probably solve that issue for us

Awesome, I had guessed so! And, we may want to try to develop a plan for persisting the image order as well, which could be difficult, but might involve an extra column on the images model! We can dig into this problem when the time comes. Thanks!!!
