Please don't let this distract right now, but just wanted to connect the dots with @rexagod and @MargaretAN9 here with regard to the great demo of live stitching from this post:

Eventually this will be a great application of this library, too!
It could conceivably be done through the image-sequencer module @rexagod is working on. Link to PR coming soon.
