Hello, in which section should the suffix SaoPau.log.br be included?

SaoPau.log.br is intended for the community of the State of São Paulo and Greater Region (SPG or São Paulo G), through LOGs.

Should the inclusion be in the ICANN section or Private section?

Examples:

.SP.GOV.BR .SAMPA.BR .SP.LEG.BR .SÃOPAU.LOg.BR

Thanks

Thanks

Is that domain reserved by the registry? If so, do you have a reference to the registry policies and documents regarding this? If so, it would belong in the ICANN section.

If log.br is a domain you've registered for this purpose, then it would belong in the PRIVATE section.

@sleevi Good morning, SAOPAU.LOg.BR is reserved in the name of the person responsible for operations.

note that if you consult the saopau.log.br domain in registrar.br, it will appear as free to be registered, but you will not be able to register it, as it has a booking ticket.

grandesaopaulo commented 3 years ago

@sleevi, How are you?

I verified on www.registro.br that saopau.log.br is a domain/suffix reserved for the entity that has ticket #23563238.

Only #23563238 can register it.

I talked to the person in charge and she said that this domain will be used as a domain shortener and provider for the State of São Paulo, but that some suffixes were included in different ways.

.SP.GOV.BR (City Halls of São Paulo) is being operated by PRODESP and can be found in the ICANN section.

SP.LEG.BR (Legislative Chambers of São Paulo) is operated by Interlegis and can be found in the PRIVATE section.

But SAOPAU.LOG.BR is intended for LOGs, such as Blogs, Vlogs and etc..., but an advertising partnership with the State Government is being negotiated.

@sleevi According to information from the person responsible for the operations, SAOPAU.LOg.BR has some peculiar characteristics:

1st The domain SAOPAU.LOG.BR only has the date of creation of its servers in whois.registro.br, but when consulting the WHOIS of Registro.br, it can be verified that the domain DOES NOT HAVE VALIDITY OR EXPIRATION DATE .

2nd The domain is listed as reserved for the person in charge at whois.registro.br, however, when consulting on Registro.br, it is free, even though it is reserved/registered.

@sleevi In this case, which section do you consider most appropriate?

ICANN section or PRIVATE section?

Thank you!

dnsguru commented 3 years ago

Unless you are registro.br, or they tell you they want it listed with theirs, the place for this would be in the private section, assuming it validates and meets the criteria for inclusion.

grandesaopaulo commented 3 years ago

@dnsguru Hello, How are you?

to include in the section. Private Is it necessary to create an expiration date for renewal or can I keep it without an expiration date like sp.gov.br and com.br?

sleevi commented 3 years ago

@grandesaopaulo If you are a representative for registro.br or can point to a publicly documented policy explicitly stating it’s reserved, then it can be added to the ICANN section. Please note, a documented policy would be a document consistent with other disclosures by the registry as to how it operates it’s domains, not the result of a WHOIS query or other sort of empirical tests to be subjectively interpreted.

Otherwise, it belongs in the PRIVATE section, and we need to be able to determine the domain complies with the PSL requirements. If you’re in contact with registro.br, then hopefully you can satisfy one of these two conditions.

grandesaopaulo commented 3 years ago

@dnsguru I understand. I would like to know if to insert it in the private section it is necessary that I include a validity for it and remove it from the reservation.

sleevi commented 3 years ago

It is necessary to demonstrate any addition complied with the policies. Domains in the PRIVATE section must be able to be confirmed as having at least two years until expiration.

grandesaopaulo commented 3 years ago

@dnsguru I read somewhere that maybe PSL could require domains valid for 3 years.

as SAOPAU.LOg.BR has NO expiration date and is booked by ticket, I don't know if this would be accepted.

or is it not necessary that SAOPAU.LOg.BR has expiration validity?

sleevi commented 3 years ago

It is necessary to be able to validate the domain complies with the policies.

I’m not sure we’ll be able to make any further progress here, it appears the same question is being repeated, and we’ve tried to answer (by restating the policies) several times now.

grandesaopaulo commented 3 years ago

@sleevi Now I get it. So I must request that SAOPAU.LOg.BR leave the reservation and become a normal domain, starting to have an expiration date.

the current data:

ownerid: 102.729.296-89 country: BR owner-c: WHOIS tech-c: WHOIS nserver: ns.saopaulo.saopau.log.br 200.219.148.10 nserver: ns2.saopaulo.saopau.log.br 200.192.233.10 created: 20211016 status: active

grandesaopaulo commented 3 years ago

@sleevi Sorry. I will go to the policies and request the transformation of SAOPAU.LOg.BR into a domain and the inclusion of an expiration date of at least 2 or 3 years.
