title explains, Minecraft Forge 1.19.3

Ghastlysh commented 1 year ago

should've specified but it causes a game crash displaying "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Can't find attribute combatroll:count"

pufmat commented 1 year ago

Thanks for reporting but I can't reproduce this. Please send full game logs and list of mods.

Ok I think I have found the issue, it seems to be Pufferfish's Skills and based on the previous reply it seems to be affecting fabric as well. I think this might be something to do with the custom attributes added with pufferfish skills that might be casuing the game to abrupptly crash as they are immediatley loaded up on world join/enter.

Heres logs, keep in mind I got a pretty big mod list:

This is a copy of my comment on combat rolls github, this seems to be some sort of compatibility issue with the attributes, but thats all I can see by skimming through the logs.

You have a lot of mods, so it is likely that the third mod is causing the problem. I have tested and for me Pufferfish's Skills and Combat Roll work fine together on both Forge and Fabric on 1.20.1.

I have the same issue here on a huge modpack, but I for me, Porting Lib is the troublemaker together with Pufferfish's skills, so I need all three mods installed for the game to crash. Also, if you don't have Porting Lib installed directly, look for any other mods that have it included (like guard villagers), because that could be the issue too, I noticed.

Edit: added log file and crash report from my troubleshooting instance. It doesn't meniton Porting Lib at all... crash-2023-12-01_17.22.40-client.txt 2023-12-01-4.log
