Could you provide an example of a component that's not requestable? I just successfully requested from the TC050 finding aid. It seems to work for me from the catalog, too.
FYI I'm noticing the following 13 leaf-level components without container information--any chance what your student noticed was one of those?
/repositories/6/archival_objects/474629 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474630 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474631 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474632 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474633 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474634 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474635 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474636 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474637 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474638 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474639 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474640 /repositories/6/archival_objects/474641
fwiw, the last file version in SVN from before the migration, dated 2020-09-28, shows the same 13 components lacking containers, so their absence is not an artifact of the migration.
From Adrienne: This collection appears to be in the catalog twice. 9924272163506421 is the ASpace record, which is correct, but 99106506483506421 seems to be a leftover ghost record. If it was for a single item there should be a unique identifier in the call number, but it also can't be for everything in the collection because the description notes it as one item.
The leftover record, https://catalog.princeton.edu/catalog/99106506483506421, has holdings that may correspond with an oversize location:
D Middle 80/Drawer 08/TC050/Full Folio
Could this be it??
Located the materials in question and identified MMSID 99106506483506421 as a record that should be deleted. Closing.
From Adrienne: I was recently made aware by a student that a selection of oversized posters from the American Minstrel Show Collection (TC050) are not available to request. There’s no note indicating that they’re restricted in any way, and when I asked AnnaLee she mentioned a similar issue with the Alma to ASpace migration issue for the Mexican Postcards Collection, and suggested that could be what happened here. I can’t say I fully grasped what the problem was there, but she said you were able to resolve it. If you have a few spare moments, would you be able to look into these materials to see if there’s any information we lost?
