Enhance DPUL collections visibilities to include Virtual Reading Room/Rescricted Functionality #1464

Summary

There is a growing need for DPUL to include the ability for a subset of identified users (executed in Figgy) to view a curated selection of restricted content so that they may research collaboratively as a class or rgroup, like that of VRR enhancements within Finding Aids. After conversations with @tpendragon Friday, I tried adding Reading Room contents to DPUL (ABC Books) to see if it work or map in someway as is. Alas. Only the open/public items are visible. Tired this a couple times.

User Story

As a Princeton Professor collaborating with Librarians at PUL for my forthcoming class, I want to use selected digitized library materials from various collections (SC Graphic Arts, Marquand, GC) and use Library applications to research those digitized collections as a class. From their online and SC Reading Room research, I would like my students to select and curate digitized items (segments or otherwise) from these selections of Library items within a DPUL (online) exhibit throughout the semester. Their final product(s) in DPUL would be in lieu of a final paper.

Impact

Please include hard deadlines, if the exhibit is part of an event, the issue is stopping work, etc. This particular use case is for a forthcoming Spring 2024 class on Surrealism, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the published manifestos. Another goal for this experiment will be to create a rubric of surrealist periodicals worldwide, helping to identify gaps in Princeton's Library Collections. Working collaboratively with my Librarian, the hope is to help fill those gaps.
