As detailed within the Google Cloud Shell documentation, there may be a requirement to encourage participants to use Ephemeral Mode: https://cloud.google.com/shell/docs/using-cloud-shell#choosing_ephemeral_mode

Otherwise, there are cases in which the persistence between sessions may actually lead to bugs or inconsistencies in the workshop.

This also became a bit problematic during the fourth session of the workshop, and documentation as to how to recover from a crashed Google Cloud Shell might be quite valuable.
