Two issues cropped up when running through synopsys:

double assigned signals (grounded stdout_bus in soc_peripherals) with TARGET_SYNTHESIS
invalid symbol for array interface assignments in gen loop (See also https://github.com/pulp-platform/pulpissimo/issues/332)
