This PR is a duplicate of #174 and was moved to a branch inside pulp-platform due to permission errors in the CI Docker container.

Updated project structure to utilize pyproject.toml for managing module paths.
Removed instances of sys.path.append() for cleaner and more maintainable imports.
Improved project compatibility with modern Python packaging standards.
