Hangouts: new client added as 'unknown' even though hangouts gmail client contains full name #21

If that's a Google Voice user, it's probably tdryer/hangups#52 (and perhaps tdryer/hangups#4). Might be fixable using the People API manually. #10 might also be related or the same issue

Edit: actually I got this too with one user (that resolved itself after a restart), so there's probably something easier the bridge can do too

yup, it's a gvoice user. but I think this might be different because it's recorded as 'unknown'. Agreed that it would be a much larger task to get hangouts to work correctly, and given it's getting shut down in like 6 months, probably not worth the effort.

Just had this occur again, how could I test if a bridge restart fixes it?

Might be fixed after an update. I found one place where it wasn't updating the info correctly while adding #13 for hangouts

But actually this is not a very high priority bug so please rank this super low until I figure out whether it's worth solving
