"For me, the meta-point here is that we really need a better way to handle redirects -- we've been pragmatic and done what we had to do to get the job done up to now, but what we have now is a bit of a mess and needs a proper solution. Part of the reason deployments take as long as they do now is that we spent ~40-45 minutes making 301s for all the pages we've moved around over the years."
