Some quick notes on my thoughts here:

The more I think about it, I think we should have everyone in the same AWS account, region, and Pulumi org.
This means we have to add a note to ensure we tear down all the attendees' infra at the end (which took me quite a while).
Probably want a dedicated Pulumi Org for the training run, then shut down the org after 15 days or whatever.

Whilst I don't disagree with the AWS account, this should be set up so that attendees can only access a local region (eu-central-1 in Munich, us-east-1 in NY, us-west-2 in Seattle - for latency) and can only spin up the resource types they're going to use in the examples. And then just shut down the account the day after the workshop.

This is probably a fair amount of work, so probably not going to be done soon.

The "amount of work" is def the problem - I'd LOVE for it to be as easy as "select a couple options" by the instructor and the AWS account is set up with region + permissions, the Pulumi accounts are created for each participant via a devcontainer or similar, and once the training is done everything is tore down.

I like to dream. 😄

Used a Google Doc instead of an MD file in this repo because the steps really only make sense if Pulumi is leading the training. In the event that someone wants to lead Pulumi training who is not a partner or a Pulumian, we should probably just encourage folks to reach out to us via email.
