This was partly implemented in https://github.com/pulumi/pulumi-aws-apigateway/commit/3ccef3f97274d250e0635447790ed1c7b9cfb720, but that does not work because this repo uses a component implemented in Node.js, not Go, and the release machinery currently replies on GoReleaser building a Go binary for the plugin.
Closed with #2.
