Interesting thought: we'd get a huge perf win if we hosted copies of pump's clientside JS on GitHub Pages (which is served by a CDN). This is particularly compelling given the federated nature of the network.
Maybe this is a good idea and maybe it isn't. http://pump.io might seem like an obvious choice for this but actually isn't because of isaacs/github#156. So we'd have to think carefully about this. #1256 is probably also relevant to this discussion.
