This would allow us to get rid of having to maintain different xorg.conf files for SD/HD resolutions. Just set the target resolution in pumptools that matches the output resolution defined once in one xorg.conf which is tweaked for the target monitor.
Additional feature as part of this: Support for pillarboxing 4:3 SD game images to 16:9 screens to preserve original aspect ratio (because all SD pump games once the FX cabinet was available look like shit on all newer non CRT screen cabinets).
