2 years ago Thanks for reporting. I can't recall having seen or heard about such an issue so far. I also haven't had the game running more than an hour so far. It would be interesting to get some more information to hopefully further scope the problem:
- More precise time when this starts happening. That would tell us how annoying it might be to reproduce. Not sure if you can time it as precise as 30 mins intervals, e.g. 1h, 1.5h, 2h etc.
- Have you tested this with other MK3 games on the same hardware?
- Have you run MK6 games on the same hardware for a longer time without encountering the same issue? Might help us scope it to MK3 ports vs. MK6 games. If both are affected, it might indicate a general pumptools issue or OS-level audio issue

Wobbly/crackling audio after running MK3 game for hours
Description
My Pump It Up DX machine is currently on location and needs to run pumptools due to my MK3 having issues with sound effects. As of recently, the game being ran (Premiere 2) has started to present very odd issues also related to sound (video here) after running for a couple of hours. Rebooting the game will restore the sound to its normal behavior, so I believe this is an issue with the port or the tool. Unfortunately it will be another week until I can be at the location to obtain logs and more information, but if there are any known fixes to issues similar to this I would be glad to try them out. If I'm not mistaken, the game is currently using ALSA (not dmix as it outputs worse distortions) and outputting at 41.1kHz.
